2024 Application Guide for Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program

(Chinese Government Scholarship)

In order to cultivate the global governance talents with broad international vision, cross-cultural background, excellent quality and outstanding leadership, the Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program has been launched under the Chinese  Government Scholarship for recruiting the master’s degree candidates in the areas concerned since 2023.

Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) has been designated as one of the Higher Education Institutions to accept applications for this scholarship program. The application for the year 2024 is open now.

- Master of Computer Science and Technology

Language of Instruction :English

Duration of Schooling

2 years (1+1 Mode)

In the 1st year, students should complete the course study, the research and the preparatory work for the dissertation in China.

In the 2nd year, students need to return to the home country, combine with the own work, complete the dissertation and pass the defense.

Scholarship Duration

This is a full scholarship program, and the duration is for 1 year.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

- be in good health both physically and mentally, under the age of 45;

- Bachelor’s degree holder or above, with at least 3 years working experience. Those with relevant education or work background would be preferred:

- be senior public official,

 senior management staff of institutions or enterprises,

 administrative staff of universities or scientific research institutions,

 or those with working/internship experience in international organizations.

Language Proficiency

Applicant should have a good command of English.

Those with certificate of English proficiency would be preferred:

- TOEFL 80, GRE General 310, IELTS 6.0 or above;

- Or the previous degree was instructed in English；

- Or the applicant has obtained other certificates of the language proficiency accepted by HUST.

Step 1:

Apply for Pre-admission Letter

Please send the following document to admission@hust.edu.cn, with the subject line clearly stating: "Pre-admission for Youth of Excellence Scheme of China":

• Diploma/Certificate of highest education

• Academic transcripts

• Research proposal written in English (no less than 1000 words)

• Certificate of employment or proof of working/internship experience.

Upon approval by the relevant school, the Pre-admission Letter would be issued to applicants who meet the admission qualifications.

This Letter will serve as one of the necessary documents for priority consideration for Chinese Government Scholarship.

Step 2:

Please apply at CSC Online Application System for International Students (Visit https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) and submit the application.

招生(shēng)簡章

為(wèi)培養具有廣闊國際視(shì)野、優秀綜合素質、卓越領導能力和(hé)跨文化背景的全球治理(lǐ)人(rén)才，中國政府來(lái)華留學卓越獎學金項目自2023 年起已正式啓動，面向全球招收有關領域的碩士研究生(shēng)候選人(rén)。

作(zuò)為(wèi)卓越獎學金項目的執行(xíng)院校之一，華中科技(jì)大(dà)學受中國教育部委托，現将開(kāi)放2024年申請(qǐng)并繼續執行(xíng)有關國際人(rén)才培養項目。

一．項目簡介

1. 招生(shēng)專業：

- 國際商務碩士

- 國際公共管理(lǐ)碩士

- 計(jì)算(suàn)機科學與技(jì)術(shù)碩士

2. 授課語言：英語

3. 學制(zhì)：

2年（1+1 模式）

第一學年，需在校完成全日制(zhì)基礎課程學習與考察研究工作(zuò)，并完成學位論文的準備工作(zuò)；

第二學年，需回所在國結合其自身本職工作(zuò)實際，完成學位論文，并按要求進行(xíng)學位論文答(dá)辯，合格者獲得(de)學位。

二．資助內(nèi)容：

   卓越獎學金項目為(wèi)全額獎學金，資助期限為(wèi)一年。

三． 申請(qǐng)條件

1. 非中華人(rén)民共和(hé)國國籍，年齡不超過 45 周歲，身心健康。

2. 具有本科及以上(shàng)學曆，有三年及以上(shàng)工作(zuò)經曆；具有與所申請(qǐng)項目相關專業學習或工作(zuò)背景者優先。

3. 申請(qǐng)者須為(wèi)以下四類人(rén)員之一：

①所在國政府部門(mén)處級（或相應級别）及以上(shàng)的公職人(rén)員；

②機構和(hé)企業等單位高(gāo)級管理(lǐ)人(rén)員；

③高(gāo)校和(hé)科研機構行(xíng)政管理(lǐ)人(rén)員；

④有國際組織任職或實習相關經曆人(rén)員。

4. 語言水(shuǐ)平要求：

申請(qǐng)人(rén)需具備良好的英語能力。

我校将優秀考慮符合如下條件者：

- 達到托福 80 分，GRE310 分，雅思 6.0 及以上(shàng)分數(shù)者；

- 或前置學曆授課語言為(wèi)英語者；

- 或者申請(qǐng)者獲得(de)了被華中科技(jì)大(dà)學認可(kě)的其他相關語言成績證明(míng)。

經相關院系審核通(tōng)過，我校将為(wèi)具備錄取資格的申請(qǐng)人(rén)出具預錄取通(tōng)知書(shū)。該材料将作(zuò)為(wèi)中國政府獎學金優先錄取的必要文件之一。

2. 提交獎學金申請(qǐng)

請(qǐng)于2024年4月15日前，登錄中國政府獎學金來(lái)華留學管理(lǐ)信息系統（https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login）進行(xíng)網上(shàng)報名，并在線提交申請(qǐng)材料。

五． 申請(qǐng)材料

1. 中國政府獎學金申請(qǐng)表；

2. 護照信息頁；

3. 經公證的最高(gāo)學曆證明(míng)；

4. 學習成績單。 中英文以外文本須附經公證的中文或英文的譯文；

5. 語言能力證明(míng)；

6. 研究計(jì)劃（不少(shǎo)于 1000 字）；

7. 推薦信。申請(qǐng)人(rén)須提交兩名教授或副教授的推薦信，用中文或英文書(shū)寫；

8. 外國人(rén)體(tǐ)格檢查表，請(qǐng)點擊下載；
